What: The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk
When: Thursday, October 8th from 5pm-8:30pm
Where: Southeast corner of Lake Eola Park (Central Boulevard and Eola Drive)
Light The Night Walk is a fundraising campaign of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) which brings together families and communities to honor blood cancer survivors, as well as those lost to the diseases, and shine a light on the importance of finding cures and providing access to treatments for blood cancer patients.
Walkers can raise funds and participate as an individual or on a team with friends, family and co-workers. Make a difference!
Each contribution supports our mission to create a world without cancer.
Our dear friend in radio and Orlando icon Scott McKenzie passed away in August from Lymphoma. He fought this 8-year battle with blood cancer with the utmost grace, humor and bravery. Our lives will forever be touched by his love of family, friends and community.
In honor of Scott, we invite you to support our Light The Night Walk team #OrlandoLovesScott.
We’ll walk on October 8th at Lake Eola Park to support research of blood cancer treatments that save lives.
Your participation in the Light The Night Walk will save lives not someday, but today.
In loving memory of Scott McKenzie
