Jace Peterson hit a game-tying two-run home run in the eighth inning and a go-ahead RBI single in the 10th to lift the Atlanta Braves to a 3-2 victory over the Miami Marlins on Tuesday night. Chris Withrow (2-0) got five outs to earn the win and Arodys Vizcaino picked up his eighth save in 10 chances for the Braves, who have won six straight. David Phelps surrendered the home run to Peterson and Kyle Barraclough (3-2) took the loss for the Marlins, who spoiled an impressive start by Jose Fernandez. Fernandez left with a 2-0 lead after allowing one hit through seven innings. He struck out seven and walked two. Fernandez drove in a run. Ichiro Suzuki had two hits for the Marlins to give him 2,982 in his career.
Lionel Messi was too much for the United States to contain. The five-time world player of the year set up Ezequiel Lavezzi's opening goal in the third minute, then scored on a free kick to break Argentina's career scoring record and assisted on the final goal in a 4-0 rout of the U.S. on Tuesday night that put the La Albiceleste into the Copa America final. After Messi doubled the lead in the 32nd minute with his 55th international goal, his tournament-leading fifth, Gonzalo Higuain quickly ended U.S. comeback hopes when he put the rebound of his initial shot past goalkeeper Brad Guzan in the 50th. Higuain scored off a Messi pass in the 86th. Argentina will seek its first major title since the 1993 Copa - and its first since Messi's debut in 2005 - when it plays Chile or Colombia on Sunday in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Eric Gutierrez hit a two-run homer, Texas Tech picked up a huge insurance run by way of two errors on the same play in the ninth, and the Red Raiders eliminated Florida 3-2 at the College World Series on Tuesday. It was a stunning early exit for the No. 1 national seed, which made things interesting in the bottom of the ninth after Peter Alonso's two-run homer made it a one-run game. The game ended when Jonathan India tried to stretch a single into a double and was thrown out by left fielder Tyler Neslony. The fifth-seeded Red Raiders (47-19) will play Thursday against the loser of the Tuesday night game between TCU and Coastal Carolina. The Gators (52-16) went 0-2 at the CWS. Davis Martin (10-1) and Hayden Howard combined to hold Florida to six hits. Florida starter Alex Faedo (13-3) cruised until the fourth inning when Gutierrez went deep.

The woman who claimed FSU football star Jameis Winston raped her has shed her anonymous status and is telling her story via a new documentary at the Sundance Film Festival.
The woman, 20-year-old Erica Kinsman, is speaking out for the first time, claiming Winston attacked her after a night of drinking during her freshman year of school.
The documentary, The Hunting Ground, captures Kinsman, tear-eyed, recounting the December 2012 night when she awoke to Winston on top of her.
She explains that earlier that night at the bar, she was spooked by someone she felt was following her around.
As she moved across the Tallahassee Potbelly’s, a man approached her, put his arm around her, and told the stalker that he was her boyfriend, before buying her a shot.
Her memory grows fuzzy then, but vaguely recalls taking a cab to an apartment.
When she woke back up, she found a man on top of her, penetrating her.
The man ignored both Kinsman’s and his own roommate's pleas to stop, as he took her into the bathroom, pinned her head to the tile and continued his assault.
The next morning, Kinsman reported what happened but could not identify her attacker.
It wasn’t until a month later, when Kinsman was in a class and heard the man's name that she was able to name her attacker.
The Tallahassee police close the investigation nine months later, in December 2013, with no charges filed, despite DNA matching that of Winston’s being found on Kinsman’s shorts.
The Heisman winner has claimed that the Kinsman voluntarily climbed into the cab and all sex was consensual.
Winston's lawyer also argued that the freshman was unreliable, citing that she did not originally report the attack in the bathroom.
"All these people are praising [Winston,]" she comments in the film, "and calling me a slut, a whore."
She goes on to detail the harassment she suffered at the hands of her classmates after she accused Winston, including death threats.
"I have had my most horrible life experience played out and debated in local and national media that couldn't care less about me," she adds.
The Hunting Game will be released in theaters in March as well as on CNN.
